Pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa)

A beautiful evergreen tree in New Zealand that belongs to the Myrtaceae family. Its beautiful red flowers emerge around Christmas, which is the reason why the Pohutukawa is also called "New Zealand Christmas tree".
