Moeraki boulders

The Moeraky boulders are large, spherical rocks that are found abundantly on the beach between Hampden and Moeraki, on the south island of New Zealand. The Moeraki boulders are concretions that have formed by mineral precipitation around a core and have grown over millions of years. They are being exposed from the cliff and shore by erosion.
