Valais Alps

The highest mountain region in Switzerland that borders Italy and lies south of the river Rhone and north of the Aosta valley. The most famous mountains in the Valais Alps include Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, Dom, Dufourspitze, Alphubel, or Weissmies (all higher than 4000 m). The group is also called "Pennine Alps".
