Spruce

A coniferous tree of the genus Picea. These trees only occur in the northern hemisphere and predominantly in colder climats. In Europe only Piciea abies (the Norway spruce) is native. Spruce trees live in symbiotic (mutualistic) relationship with different soil fungi.
