Compulsive camera buying syndrom (CCBS)

A kind of addition that can manifest itself in the urge to purchase photography equipment and to compare camera and lens specifications. CCBS is founded in the erroneous belief that new equipment will improve one's photographs (in truths the opposite is the case). The condition is likely related to compulsive buying disorder, shopping addition and shopaholics, but in contrast to these, men seem more susceptible to CCBS.
